Air movers and fitness fans: which one do you need?
Both fans deliver strong, focused airflow, but they are built for different work. The Cardio54® keeps you cool during indoor workouts, with remote speed control so you can keep training. The AM1202 air mover dries wet surfaces and ventilates large rooms without heat.
- Vacmaster Cardio54® fitness fan — Wind speeds of up to 54km/h for indoor training sessions. The remote control switches between three airflow speeds without stopping your session. The Mount Kit version adds a spare mounting adaptor bracket.
- Vacmaster AM1202 air mover — A 124W motor moves 245 litres of air per second (15m³/min) to speed up drying of carpets, floors, plaster, paint and screed. Three speeds, three tilt positions and 49 dBA noise level.
Why use an air mover for drying?
Moving air across a wet surface speeds up evaporation. An air mover increases airflow without adding heat, helping reduce the risk of heat-related warping, cracking or blistering on sensitive surfaces such as plaster, paint, screed or wooden floors. That is why it works well after carpet cleaning, a leak or a flood, and in basements, gyms and dance studios that need ventilation. For best results, after a leak or flood, remove standing water before using the air mover. In humid spaces, a dehumidifier may also be needed to remove moisture from the air.
