Two cordless formats: 2-in-1 and 3-in-1
A cordless stick vacuum has no cable to plug in or move between rooms. Both Vacmaster models on this page detach into a handheld vacuum. The difference is how many ways they can be used and how they are stored.
- Vacmaster Joey Compact — A 2-in-1 stick vacuum with a detachable handheld. The 20V Max lithium battery gives up to 30 minutes of runtime. Of its two power settings, turbo mode delivers 15 minutes of deep cleaning with the motorised brush bar. It stands up on its own between tasks, and the folding handle brings the height down to 64cm for storing in a cupboard or under a worksurface.
- Vacmaster Orson Lite 24V — A 3-in-1 cordless vacuum weighing 2.15kg. Use it as an upright for hard floors and carpets, or Use it as an upright with the powered floor head for carpets and hard floors, detach the handheld for stairs and furniture, or use the supplied 2-in-1 crevice and dusting tool for hard-to-reach areas for stairs, upholstery and the tops of cupboards. The 24V MAX battery gives up to 40 minutes of runtime, with a 17-minute turbo mode, an LED battery display and LED task lights.
What to compare on a cordless vacuum
Runtime depends on the power setting, and turbo mode runs for less time. The Joey Compact comes with a compact charging dock that holds all the accessories and charges the vacuum in 5 hours, while the Orson Lite 24V stores on a discreet wall mount.
- Runtime: Joey Compact up to 30 min; Orson Lite 24V up to 40 min
- Turbo mode: Joey Compact 15 min; Orson Lite 24V 17 min
- Battery: 20V Max (Joey Compact); 24V MAX (Orson Lite 24V)
- Filter: Washable filter, 2 filters in the box on both models
Filtration and support
The Joey Compact has a washable HEPA 13 filter that captures 99.9% of microscopic dust and allergen particles from the airstream. The Orson Lite 24V has a washable filter that captures 99.9% of dust and allergen particles down to 0.3 microns. The Joey Compact support page has the instruction manual.
